Phoenix Zoo

Sunday morning we went to the Phoenix Zoo. The image below is a flamingo taking a rest! I used the Nikon D300 with the fantastic Nikkor 70-200 VR. In case you’re a photo geek, I shoot in RAW and the exposure was 1/500 second at f/11. The “near” exact location can be seen in Google Maps. The geo-coding is thanks to the fantastic diGPS . Let me know what you think.

The photo below shows is of a very large lizard that was none to happy I interrupted his lunch, which can be seen in his mouth. The exact location the photos was taken is here.

Any finally, the photo below shows a little cactus that was beginning to bloom. For me, I really enjoy the desert in bloom because the contrasting colors with the starkness is just amazing.
